Freeman Welch, CFP® is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor with TSG Wealth Management. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1975 with a degree in Journalism, but joined the financial industry in 1982. He continued his education at the Options Institute – Chicago Board of Options in Exchange in 1987, then a few years later he would go on to receive his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM (CFP®) professional certification by attending the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado and the University of San Francisco Financial Planning in 1990.

Freeman is an avid downhill skier who also loves to listen to music and challenge himself on hikes. He’s passionate about restoring his 1969 VW Bus and for his charity work with the WomenShelter of Long Beach. He is also a retired CIF High School Basketball referee after 37 years of calling games.

Freeman’s favorite quote is from Bob Dylan, “When you ain’t got nuthin’, you got nuthin’ to lose.” As a young man he thought he would grow out of rock and roll and fast cars, but those remain his passions to this day.

Freeman always wanted to be a teacher. In college he started on that track, but then fell in love with radio and journalism. He did some student teaching and loved it! To this day he loves educating anyone who will listen to advice about their business.
