Sam Kagan

Sam Kagan began his career in asset management in 1983. He joined Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management Group upon the opening of their Los Angeles office in 1985 and spent 17 years managing portfolios for some of the Southland’s wealthiest families. He later joined Prudential in 2001, a predecessor of Wells Fargo Advisors and now joins TSG Wealth Management. Sam Kagan is proud to have been acknowledged as one of Barron’s Top 1000 Financial Advisors1 in 2010.
Sam received an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He earned his BA in English Literature from Claremont McKenna College, where he was the Student Body President and a member of the Editorial Board of the Claremont Journal of Public Affairs. He received the Alumshaw Award for Leadership in 19782 for his guidance in the creation of a joint newspaper for the five Claremont Colleges.
Sam Kagan received a special proclamation award from the Los Angeles City Council, a commendation from the LAFD, and was a KNX News Radio ‘Citizen of the Week’ for saving the life of a young woman whose car plunged off Mulholland Drive. Sam has his private pilot’s license and is passionate about traveling. He is a fervent reader and loves his golden retriever, Maya.
