Jeff Crookston brings over three decades of experience in the financial services industry, having launched his career in 1993 at Smith Barney before moving to Wells Fargo Advisors in 1995. In August 2025, he joined forces with TSG Wealth Management, drawn by the practice’s reputation for integrity, collaboration, and client-first values. His mission has remained consistent throughout his career: to help clients achieve financial freedom and long-term security, both now and in retirement.

 

As a Managing Director at TSG, Jeff is known for building lasting client relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and consistent communication. He specializes in crafting dynamic wealth planning strategies tailored to each client’s evolving goals. Jeff’s long-term success is driven by his ability to adapt solutions as life circumstances shift, all while staying focused on delivering clear and dependable investment planning advice.

 

Jeff finds his greatest professional motivation in helping clients reach their financial milestones and build meaningful legacies for future generations. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Jeff has lived around the world—from West Germany to Florida to the California Central Valley. He is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, having studied through the College of the Air Force academic program while serving on active duty, and also attended Monterey Junior College. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations, along with a Life Insurance license.

 

Outside the office, Jeff is a passionate golfer and travel enthusiast who enjoys relaxing all-inclusive vacations in Mexico. He and his wife, Kelly, have been married for over 35 years and are the proud parents of two adult children and three grandchildren. The Crookston’s also share their home with two small dogs, Jiggy and Jango. Jeff actively supports charitable causes through his volunteer work with the Elks and Moose Lodges.

 

A lifelong sports fan, Jeff remains loyal to the teams of his youth: the Dallas Cowboys, Oakland A’s, and L.A. Lakers.

Jeff was adopted from South Korea at age 4½. At the time, California law limited families to adopting no more than two foreign-born children—and Jeff’s adoptive parents had already reached that limit. After 2½ years of advocacy and legal effort, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed a law in 1967 amending that restriction. Jeff became the first child adopted under the revised law, a milestone that reflects both personal and legislative history.
