Jeff Vinsonhaler joins TSG Wealth Management as a Managing Director, bringing nearly 30 years of experience building lasting client relationships and a deeply personalized approach to wealth advisory work.
A Yuba City native, Jeff relocated to Oregon in 1989 to attend the University of Oregon in Eugene, where he earned a double major in Business Management and Psychology. He entered the financial services industry in 1994 and, following an extensive investment training program, began his career as a Financial Advisor with Dean Witter in 1997. A promotion to California Service Manager at a regional investment practice brought Jeff and his family back to California in 2008, and he spent the following decades growing his practice through local bank branches before making the deliberate move to TSG. He holds licenses across more than 10 states, serving clients throughout California, Oregon, and beyond.
Jeff specializes in the development and implementation of long-term, tax-efficient investment portfolios, with a focus on tactical asset allocation and retirement income strategies. His work spans trust accounts, IRAs, college savings plans, annuities, securities-based lines of credit, and life and long-term care insurance. He chose TSG for its enhanced support and comprehensive resources, believing the platform will allow him to deliver an even more elevated, client-focused experience than was possible before.
Jeff and his wife of 32 years are proud parents, now empty nesters living in Rough and Ready with their dog, Sir Charles Barkie (Charlie for short). They are devoted Oregon Ducks football and basketball fans and love traveling, boating, fishing, and their newest shared hobby: bocce ball. Their son, a UC Santa Cruz Banana Slug alumnus, is a successful electrical engineer in nearby Roseville. Their daughter graduated from UC Irvine with a biomedical engineering degree and is currently serving as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.
