RJ Bernstein has spent more than four decades in the wealth management industry, beginning his investment journey at just 13 years old when he purchased his first stocks. Growing up in Omaha, Nebraska, around the Buffett family, RJ developed an early appreciation for the connection between disciplined investing and meaningful philanthropy—principles that continue to shape his career today.
As a Managing Director in TSG Wealth Management’s Incline Village office, RJ focuses on building customized investment planning strategies aligned with each client’s risk profile and long-term objectives. He is passionate about helping families preserve and grow the financial security they have worked hard to build, ensuring successive generations are positioned for continued success.
RJ values the flexibility TSG provides—offering a deep bench of resources while maintaining the independence to create specialized investment opportunities tailored to clients’ unique needs.
A graduate of the University of Oregon Business School, RJ holds Series 7 and 65/66 registrations. Born in Omaha in 1953, he has lived throughout the West Coast and Hawaii, ultimately settling near Lake Tahoe.
Outside of work, RJ enjoys traveling to Phuket, Thailand, with his wife, LaLisa; Nice, France, is also among his favorite destinations.
He has three adult children: Erin, a Harvard Law graduate and founding partner of BBS Law; Zach, an actor and recent author; and Michiko, who is currently working at TSG, actively advancing her career in finance.
