Steven L. Sakata is a second-generation financial advisor with a lifelong passion for investing and helping clients navigate complex financial decisions. His career spans nearly three decades, building on a family legacy that began when his father entered the industry in 1969 with EF Hutton, a firm that evolved over time into Morgan Stanley.
Steven began working alongside his father in 1997 as an intern before joining full-time in 2002 as a Financial Advisor at Salomon Smith Barney, which later became Morgan Stanley. In 2016, he transitioned to Wells Fargo Private Bank, continuing to refine his approach to serving clients with sophisticated financial needs.
In 2024, Steven founded SL Sakata Private Investment Management, a part of the Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network. In 2026, he joined forces with TSG Wealth Management, expanding his capabilities while maintaining the independence that defines his practice.
Steven’s approach to wealth management is highly personalized, often resembling a private investment office model focused on long-term strategy, thoughtful planning, and multigenerational relationships. Having started investing at a young age, he brings both experience and genuine enthusiasm to his work—continuing to do what he has always loved: helping clients grow and preserve their wealth.
Originally from East Los Angeles, Steven now lives in Las Vegas with his wife and their two daughters. Outside the office, he enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
