Sylvia Geffen is a Managing Director and a senior partner of La Jolla Wealth Partners. A trailblazer for women in San Diego, Sylvia was among the first to form a partnership, enabling her to balance work and family responsibilities while pursuing her passion for finance.

 

Motivated by her genuine love for her work and the rewarding relationships she builds with clients and colleagues, Sylvia finds continued inspiration in her role assisting clients in achieving their financial goals weather for retirement or strategies to leave a legacy for the next generation.

 

In partnering with TSG Wealth Management, she appreciates the professionalism and the wealth of advice and resources available to the team, fostering an environment conducive to growth and success.

 

Beyond her professional endeavors, Sylvia finds joy in playing Pickle Ball and Mah Jongg, activities that bring her both relaxation and pleasure. Traveling is also a favorite pastime, especially when it includes her family. Her favorite trip has been an African Safari taking her back to her African roots. Speaking of family, Sylvia has been happily married to David I. Geffen for 45 years, and they are blessed with three married children and five adorable grandchildren who bring endless joy to their lives.

 

Outside of work and family, she is committed to giving back to her community, Sylvia has dedicated her time to volunteering at various organizations, including the JCC, Seacrest Foundation, La Jolla Country Day, and the UJF of San Diego.

 

A graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics, Sylvia holds her series 7 and 65 registrations, showcasing her commitment to excellence in her field. Her achievements have not gone unnoticed, she was recognized as a 5-Star Wealth Manager (2013-2023) and is also a member of the Wells Fargo Platinum Council (2018-2023), an honor reserved for the top advisors in the firm.

Unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through FSP’s consumer complaint process; feedback may not be representative of any one client’s experience; C. Individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; D. Filed for personal bankruptcy within the past 11 years; E.
