11 Apr TSG Congratulates Joni Taylor on Becoming The Next Aggies Women’s Basketball Head Coach

The TSG Sports and Entertainment Team would like to extend a big congratulations to Joni Taylor on becoming the head coach for Texas A&M Women’s Basketball. Taylor takes over an Aggies program after seven seasons as the head coach of the Georgia Lady Bulldogs.

This move sets up Taylor to replace retired legend Gary Blair, who retired following the 2021-22 season after 32 years as a collegiate head basketball coach.

“I am extremely excited and humbled to have the opportunity to lead the Texas A&M women’s basketball program,” Taylor said in a statement. “You are talking about a program that is rich with tradition and an institution that leads not only in the SEC, but in the country. I am excited to get there and meet the team and immerse myself and our family into Aggieland.”
