Oct 14, 2026 From the Strip to the City of Roses: Steven Sakata Joins TSG’s Pasadena Team
TSG is proud to announce that some of its most experienced talent is coming together in Pasadena. Steven L. Sakata, Managing Director, is relocating from Las Vegas to join Vincent Law, Managing Director, and Philip Peng, Senior Vice President, uniting three seasoned advisors under one roof and adding new depth to one of TSG’s most accomplished teams.
A second-generation advisor, Steven has spent nearly three decades helping clients navigate complex financial decisions, building on a family legacy that dates back to 1969. He has long run his practice like a private investment office, emphasizing long-term strategy, thoughtful planning, and multigenerational relationships. In Pasadena, he brings that model to an established team known for the same client-first standard.
“This move is about giving my clients even more,” said Steven. “Joining Vincent and Philip lets me deepen the private-office approach I have always believed in, alongside two advisors who share my standard for how clients should be served.”
Steven joins a Pasadena practice with a strong track record. Vincent Law was named a Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor, recognized in both 2025 and 2026. He and Philip Peng have built a reputation for disciplined, highly personal service. For Vincent, Steven’s arrival adds to an already deep bench.
“Steven brings nearly three decades of experience and a genuinely personal way of working with families,” said Vincent. “He strengthens what we have built in Pasadena, and our clients will feel the added depth from day one.”
That depth is a large part of the appeal. Where Steven brings a private-office model and Vincent brings decades of market experience, Philip adds a focus on investment management, strategic planning, and endowment work for non-profit organizations.
“What excites me most is how well our strengths fit together,” said Philip. “Steven’s approach, Vincent’s experience, and our shared commitment to thoughtful planning give clients a team that can meet almost any situation with clarity.”
For Steven, the decision came down to fit. “TSG gives me the structure and support to serve clients at the highest level without losing the independence that defines my practice,” he said. “Pasadena, and this team, is the right place to build the next chapter.”
The three also share a certain temperament. Steven sharpened his instincts over childhood Monopoly games that, as he likes to say, simply evolved into real-life investing. Vincent is a devoted model-train collector with an eye for craftsmanship and detail. Philip once built a working, to-scale model of the solar system in the third grade. That shared instinct for precision and long-term thinking now anchors how the team serves its clients.
“This is exactly the kind of collaboration TSG is built to support,” said Mark Schulten, Managing Partner. “Bringing Steven together with Vincent and Philip creates a Pasadena team with rare depth, and it reflects the caliber of advisor choosing to build their practice here.”
TSG Wealth Management supports over $21 billion in assets under management across a team of 184 professionals operating out of 28 offices throughout the western United States.*
With Steven, Vincent and Philip now working side by side, TSG’s Pasadena office enters its next chapter with deeper resources and the same personal commitment that has always defined its work.
