TSG Wealth Management is proud to welcome Jose Ascencio, AAMS®, as a Managing Director serving clients across the Chico, Paradise, Oroville, and Orland communities. A trusted presence in Northern California with deep local roots, Jose brings a career built on trust and a genuine belief that helping people plan well is a form of service to the community.

Jose’s path to Northern California began a long way from it. Born in Mexico, he immigrated to the United States in 1964, became a naturalized citizen, and built a life of service in the region he now calls home. He completed his undergraduate studies at UCLA before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from California State University, Long Beach, and he holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist® (AAMS®) designation.

His ties to the region run deep. Jose has served as a Director of the Butte Community Colleges Foundation, an advisor to the Boys and Girls Club of Northern California Planned Giving Advisory Committee, president of the Northern California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Chico Sunrise Rotary. For Jose, that record of civic engagement and his advisory work spring from the same conviction: that helping people plan well is a way of serving the broader community.

“The people I work with are my neighbors, and I take that personally,” said Jose. “Whether it is a family in Chico or a business owner in Oroville, my job is to earn their trust and help them move toward the future they want.”

That service-first philosophy is what drew Jose to TSG, a practice built on putting clients’ interests first and giving advisors the resources to serve their communities at the highest level.
